The Sims!

This is why I love Modthesims2.com! :D

I'd like to introduce my two newest sims:

Chiho Aoshima (named after one of my favourite artists!)

and Optimus Prime! hehee

Chiho likes teddy bears.

And skipping around her house :]

Optimus likes painting.

And watching the fishies.

One of my other sims just appeared out of nowhere to insult him!

I was shocked, because I make all my Sims super nice, haha.

He cried :(

He just randomly showed up at her house before any 'Some visitors have come to welcome you to the neighbourhood!' prompt. It was meant to be! :D

They just 'admire' eachother all the time and make food, it's cute! hehe

Oh, and these pictures just amused me:

Funny how this looks better than the original drawing, darkened and JPGed! haha
Her eyes are wonky, but no one has symmetrical eyes! That may just be my excuse for lack of symmetrical drawing skills though :D
Notice how I gave up on the shorter side, I will make a fine artist one day.

So on Wednesday this customer at work questioned my hair. "Are you a member of like, a club or something?" Haha.
Then later a little old lady politely started asking me how I dyed it because she used to be a hair dresser and was really interested. When I told her I did it myself she says "Ah! In true punk fashion!"

Which reminded me of something I've been wanting to do for a while, DIY clothes, yay!
Simple, but, I made some old jeans into a skirt!

Please excuse random mirror junk.

So it's weird because I hardly ever wear skirts, let alone denim skirts. I am strangely tempted to wear this with leggings.. haha. They would have to be terribly cute/awesome leggings though.

I want to make it more exciting. Sewing random things on is not an option since I really can't be bothered, so I thought... stencil!
But now I must decide... what is great enough for me to wear on a skirt?

I've found these so far:

- Ed! - How amazing would that be?? But... possibly a bit too complicated.
- Another Fight Club one - If only it were bigger ;(
Amelie - Love this one too, but.. multi-layers!
My Little Pony! - Hehee
Gir - :D
Random umberella? - Maybe?

Yeah, I've seen lots of random ones but some stuff is so over done (skeletons, hearts, stars, butterflies, guns) and of course I could just go with a band but I don't reeally want to.
Ideas welcome :D

Me, 'professionally' photographing my college work.. in the porch!

It's taking waay longer than I thought. When I'm done they all have to be resized in Photoshop too! Hurrah.

... I'm pretty sure the gutter just came off the wall outside, we've been having some scary rain lately.

Exhibition

Thank goodness Hannah took a decent picture of my Final Exhibition! The ones my mum and dad took have me standing in front smiling like a crazy person.

- The six pictures (top left) are t-shirt designs following a forecast from some fashion website I forget the name of. The forecast I chose was called 'Never Mind The Symbolics' and revolved around graffiti and skeletons/skulls.

- The image top right, was the final piece from a brief I had that involved designing doll clothes. I ended up making paper dolls, all their clothes are tabbed and can be removed. :]

- The t-shirts L-R: One of the forecast designs printed black on white, altered shirt with a little owl print, mascot/character design of two girls printed with a felt heart embroidered in the middle (they're so cute!) and the same forecast design printed white on black.

- On the shelf L-R: Folder containing research about artists that inspire me, and past drawings and designs in the back. A pair of shoes I painted the 'company name' on from my final project. My contextual diary, which is basically artist research in sketchbook-form (I did an altered book though, and got a Distinction grade for it, woo) aand... my sketchbook from the Summer Fashion Forecast Project. My little handmade sketchbook for the Final major project was up there too eventually,

- The big thing is my not-so-professional portfolio, which includes some first year life drawing and graphics, second year life drawing and other pieces from different projects and briefs this year.

I got a Merit grade for this work. We're marked Pass (P), Merit (M), or Distinction (D) in everything throughout the year and each mark is worth a certain amount of points. The points are added up in the end and your given a final 3-mark grade.

I have yet to show my IT work (online portfolio, and blahh) but my tutor told me that i'll probably get a merit.

This leaves me with the final grade of DDM :D

I still feel guilty that I'm doing arty things instead of learning to be something useful, but at least it seems I'm doing it well.

Dollie!
This is a Volks EB-mini C (if I remember correctly, packaging is long gone). I bought her ages ago out of curiosity, but she was already assembled which I think is why we didnt really bond, haha

The face I painted for her is scruffy and well.. not very good, but I can't bring myself to change it. Anyway, I rescued her from being bald and naked in my drawer. The wig is made out of a cushion I was throwing away. :D

I'm not sure where I got the dress or crown from, but aren't they cute? Yes.

I spent all morning looking at tattoos, this made me sad:

I love it and dislike it at the same tiime. :[

This weekend I plan to design some tattoos for mee! There's also some Fimo clay sitting on my desk and calling my name. I'm determined not to give up on it too, because I'm sure last time I tried I ended up getting stupidly frustrated.

Haha.. I love the email you get from LJ when you make a new account.

Anyway, this is to help me.. um.. be motivated to actually do arty things of decent quality because usually I'm just lazy about it and I really wish I wasn't.

The first problem I have (because there always is one) is that I haven't got access to a scanner unless I give what I want to scan to my dad. You see, he thinks I am incapable of doing it myself, even though I showed him how to work it in the first place. D:

Then he'd have to go through the hassle of scanning them onto his laptop, and transferring the images to me somehow. Which results in a very angry dad.

I'll have to get my own scanner then, and that might take a while, so for now I'll be posting photos.

Photos and.. digital art!! Yay!

Look, I pixelled ice cream today:

More later because I'm like... super bored :D
